Make each day your masterpiece.

– John Wooden

Activity does not equal achievement. Success is not a matter of action, but precision. This is the core difference between good and great.

The will to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win.

Sport Psychology

Sports Psychology

Sessions are initially designed to help athletes discover new possibilities for enhancing performance and achieving set goals. Emphasis is then placed on developing and adapting newly crafted skills and techniques into training and practice routines. The third step is implementing new strategies and tactics into competitive performance. Participating in a sequence of sports psychology sessions affords the opportunity to continually repeat successful patterns in the future.

Sports Counseling & Therapy

Sports counseling and therapy is structured to move athletes from a current state of surviving back to competitively thriving. Numerous situations and circumstances (personal or sport related) can negatively influence an athlete’s ability to compete. Furthermore, the occurrence of injury can have significant emotional and psychological consequences. As a mental health professional, I initially approach counseling by creating a safe and confidential space for athletes to fully process their experience. In turn, solution-focused therapy applies a positive treatment strategy with identifiable and attainable goals for a successful recovery and comeback.

Team-Sport Consulting

I offer sports psychology team consulting and counseling services to amateur and professional athletes in an array of domains and capacities. Such endeavor aims to assist athletes and coaching staffs in maintaining and increasing performance. Examples of these services include:

  • Mental Conditioning Programs & Workshops
  • Individual Counseling Sessions with Players (on Site)
  • Coaching Consultation (Individually or Collectively)
  • Motivational Speaking

Each team, sport, and environment is unique to the individuals (coaches & players) within it. So it’s not a “one size fits all” approach to consultation. Rather, my method is to assess and build the best possible model that meets team and individual needs at any given time through a season. This approach is intentionally flexible and adaptive in assisting coaches and players to maximize their potential and be at their best in competition.
